We are now accepting enrolment applications for our Kindergarten Class of 2024.

In the coming months, parents/carers who have enrolled their child/ren, will find out more about Merimbula Public School, our staff, programs and the many opportunities your children will receive when they join our Kindy family.

When you have completed your child's enrolment, our administration office will contact you so that you and your child/ren can attend a school tour and enrolment interview with the principal. Additional support and transition needs will also be put into place at this time, if required.

Some of our 2024 Kindergarten staff will be making visits to your child’s early childhood centre or service to get to know your child, once they have enrolled. This will support your child in getting ready for their orientation visits to our school and for the exciting and supportive years ahead.

Our Kindergarten Orientation Program Visits will commence at the start of Term 4. School visits will take place on:

• Wednesday, November 1 (9.30am-10.30am);
• Wednesday, November 8 (9.30am-11.00am); and
• Wednesday, November 15 (9.30am-12.00pm).

We will also be holding additional small group transition visits in Term 3, to support children with additional learning needs and/or disability, to assist them in having a smooth start to school.

Small Group Transition Visits will be taking place on:
• Monday, August 7 (9.30am-10.30am);
• Monday, August 21 (9.30am-10.30am); and
• Monday, September 4 (9.30am-11.30am).

Attendance on these days must be confirmed by the principal, following your child having already attended his/her enrolment interview.

You will receive more information about our school in an Information Pack at the Parent Information Evening/Session as follows:

• Parent Information Night – General School Information/Enrolment Information/Getting Prepared for Kindy/Meet the Kindy Staff/How To Engage with Allied Health and Support Professionals at Merimbula Public School:
Monday, June 6 – 6.30pm to 7.30pm; and

• Parent Information Session – Supporting Your Child in Literacy and Numeracy and During Their Transition to “Big School”:
Wednesday, November 1 – 9.30am-10.30am.

Enrolments should be completed online, with your child's Birth Certificate, Immunisation Statement, Healthcare Plans, Court Orders (if applicable) and a Proof of Address (such as the top of one of your phone/electricity bills or a photocopy of your licence) being uploaded as an attachment or provided to our school administration office. Paper copies of enrolment forms can be provided on request.

We look forward to supporting you with your child's enrolment and we cannot wait to meet you/your child/ren soon!
