Get your book character costumes ready!
The annual MPS Book Parade is happening soon! Costumes can be homemade, recycled or purchased and should adhere to usual mufti guidelines (appropriate for primary school, no singlets, open-toed shoes, or dress-up weapons please). We look forward to dressing up, dancing and having fun while we celebrate reading!
Book Fair - Books available for purchase will be displayed in the library during our Book Fair, which runs from Friday 18th August - Thursday 24th August.
Merimbula Extra (newsagency) will be supplying the books and a percentage of all books sold will be credited back to the school library to purchase new books for our students. Children will have a chance to browse the Book Fair during school hours and will create a wish list to bring home, to select books to purchase with their parents/carers. Please remind your children to show you their wish lists!
On Thursday August 24th, Merimbula Extra staff will be at the Book Fair so that students/parents/carers can purchase or order books throughout the day. You may use cash and EFTPOS facilities will also be available. If you are unable to attend with your child, please have them bring their wish list (with selected items highlighted or circled) and money to school, in a labelled envelope (name and class) or wallet.
Parents can visit the Book Fair before school (8:30 am - 8:55 am), from 12:45 pm - 1:30 pm, or after school (2:55pm - 3:30 pm)
Parents and friends are welcome to join their children on Thursday 24th August for both the Book Parade and to purchase books from the Book Fair during the nominated times. Please note that in the event of inclement weather, the Book Parade will be held in the hall.
